In the early Spring we organize the Burlington Citywide Volunteer Tree Planting. This event was started in the early 1980's under then-mayor Bernie Sanders.
In early May, we host our tree planting day at the Burlington Community Tree Nursery. This usually includes music and food as well as some work. Something for everyone!
The second Saturday in June is the day for our Annual Tree Walk. In a different part of the city every year, this is a fun and informative walk led by our own city arborist, Warren Spinner.
Every fall we hold the Awesome Tree Contest. Now in it's 8th year! Nominate an Awesome Tree and be eligible to win some awesome prizes, donated by our local sponsors!
